About me

IMG_6875-3.jpg

After years of experience gained from working as a psychotherapist in different places, I felt it was time to seek new horizons. Although I will always feel eternally grateful for the knowledge and experience that I garnered through working within these Institutions, there came a moment where I felt that clients were not always getting the treatment they deserved. Due to having no say in the type of treatment, long waiting lists and an illness-focused approach instead of looking at someone's potential.

To be able to steer my own course more, I decided to start my own practice. I discovered that besides giving therapy, I really felt passionate about coaching. I really like it to be a parth of somebody's proces of change. Since then I provide coachingsessions focused on personal growth where a person’s wishes are the central focal point.

Personal & effective

I gained my experience working in different places and in addition to my psychology studies followed two postgraduate courses to be a healthcare Psychologist and a Psychotherapist. In continuation, I followed further education in various therapeutic styles, which you will find under Approach and Expertise

I use all this knowledge and experience in my coaching sessions. This allows me to offer coaching journeys that go beyond most coaching, and really bring about profound change.

Open &
accepting

Personally I would describe myself as being open, direct, social and optimistic. I accept people as they are: we all face our own problems and life questions, of which I have had my fair share. In my opinion, one of the most valuable things a person should learn is how to examine and deal with one’s own struggles with compassion.

Besides being approving, I can also be direct and confrontational when needed to help someone further. This allows me to quickly get to the heart of the matter and to give honest feedback.
I also find humour and a certain lightheartedness very valuable. Changing and getting to the core of your challenges doesn't have to be all doom and gloom, but above all it has to help and inspire you!
